Ryan Orgeron, PE
Managing Principal
Ryan has spent his entire life in the electrical field. He worked summers at his father’s electrical contracting company from a young age and continued while attending LSU, where he received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Ryan is a licensed electrical engineer and electrician in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Texas. Ryan has more than 30 years of experience in the field, which has provided him with extensive knowledge of all aspects of electrical, communications and emergency systems. His dedication to Drake and engineering can be seen in his many professional affiliations and countless hours of continuing education.
Mark Kattengell,
Senior Electrical Designer
With over 15 years of electrical design experience, an Associate of Science in electrical engineering technology and several hours of continued education credits, Mark uses his diligent communication skills to support Drake’s project managers from project start to finish. Mark’s leadership, technical knowledge and friendly nature assure overall success from negotiating fees to conceptual development to contractor communication and system commissioning. Mark strives to keep customers connected with his drive for establishing a quality electrical design that meets code while keeping the product practical and customer-friendly.

Senior Electrical Designer
John started with Drake shortly after receiving his Associate of Applied Science and Certificate of Technical Studies from Delgado Community College. His nearly a decade’s worth of industry experience makes him a go-to source for our team’s wiring and power distribution needs. John’s background in technical studies has given him a specialized knowledge and unmatched love of problem-solving, which lends itself perfectly to every project, big or small.
Jacob Lougon,
Engineering Intern
A recent graduate of the University of New Orleans’ electrical engineering program, Jacob joined our team two years ago to help assist in project support. In his short tenure, Jacob has headed multiple large-scale projects and implemented new ideas to aid in the company’s structure, growth and development. We are excited to see all that Jacob will achieve as he obtains his PE license and continues to grow professionally.
Scott Ocmond,
Electrical Engineering Consultant
Scott joined our sister company A-1 in 2017, bringing with him over a decade of electrical engineering experience, three years of which were completed out in the field. His extensive work seeing projects through the entire design-build process ensures the success of our endeavors.
Danny Dupont,
Electrician Consultant
With over 25 years of experience as an electrician, Danny boasts several licenses and certifications. He has a Class A Master Electrical License in Jefferson Parish, a Class D Journeyman Electrical License in the city of New Orleans, an OSHA 30 certification, and is a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI). His positions as a project manager, estimator and safety manager at A-1 Electrical Contractors as well as his electrical controls knowledge have equipped him to become a reliable consultant for projects of any size.
Jimmy Fray,
Electrician Consultant
Having worked in the electrical field for 30 years, Jimmy is an experienced electrician upon whom we can depend for sound guidance. His many years of field experience make him knowledgeable on a variety of projects. He has a Class A Master Electrical License in Jefferson Parish, a Class D Journeyman Electrical License in the city of New Orleans and is OSHA 30 certified. Jimmy’s diverse abilities and certifications make him an effective project manager and estimator for both commercial and medical projects.
